Summer is a great time to take up a sport, since we have more time for ourselves and our hobbies.
One of the booming sports with more and more followers is Fitboxing. Our 47 minutes workouts combine boxing with high-intensity functional training, i.e. exercises that are similar to certain everyday movements such as walking, jumping, going up stairs, etc.
What are the benefits?
Physically, Fitboxing improves your general fitness and increases endurance, strength, agility and coordination. Furthermore, we do exercising using your own bodyweight, such as ab planks, balancing, buttock exercises, burpees or squats. This improves muscle tone as one of the main objectives of training.
The versatility of Fitboxing means that anyone, with or without experience, can do it, since it easily adapts to each person’s level of fitness. You don’t have to be a martial arts expert, anyone can learn this training routine and notice the benefits straightaway.
One of the main reasons people decide to go to the gym is to lose weight. And they always ask themselves the same thing: Cardio training or strength training? Whatever we choose, combining them is always better.
At Brooklyn Fitboxing we alternate between strength and cardio exercises. You can burn off up to 1000 kcal per workout and it is perfect for people who have to deal with a lot of stress and need to release all that energy, whether at the start or end of the day.
